West Bengal Hasta Shilpa Mela (Handicraft Fair) - artists and their art from all over West Bengal - the infinite variety, the sheer artistry and skill on display. Mind boggling.
How interesting is it that I am sitting in the park of a teracotta museum at Gurgaon while I check this out! The greatest artists of all times live in such abject poverty - what right do I have to my house!!! So glad fro this stroke of luck though : ))). Great pics Sukanya!
Yup Kriti....and the saddest were those who had only 5 baskets or 5 paintings .... equally nice...but they got to sit any where and looked so so so beseechingly at everyone....I mean to go back and buy from each of those really tiny ones...
A lady with many talents and a heart of gold :) Lovely pictures of amazing and colorful baskets, paintings,combs, masks and a variety of other attractive things. I wish I could have seen them all and bought quite a few :)
